British bike manufacturer Triumph is fast-and-quick with its moves to target the luxury market in India, with as many as 10 bikes to be rolled out in the Rs 5.7 lakh and Rs 20 lakh price range.
Take your pick from a Classic, Roadster, Adventure, Super Sports or a Cruiser—Triumph is geared to cut into the domestic pie of Harley-Davidson India which has to its credit, a four year head start comparatively (launched in 2010).
Price-wise on the same line with a Harley, setting you back roughly about Rs 6 lakh, another contender trying to make headway is Bologna-based Ducati, the superbike manufacturer that had arrived on the Indian landscape via Precision Motors in 2008.

By mid-2014, Ducati hopes to establish its own dealership and services (a Ducati India if you will), and hit the roads right alongside Triumph and Harley-Davidson in a bid to lure the luxury superbike riders of India.
Either way, it’s all good news for bike lovers, who will have at their disposal a selection of over 30 high-end models that come at a price tag which is just as premium as the auto maker’s brand stamp.
