Joining a legendary stable that includes vehicles like the GTO and the F40, Ferrari unveils its all-new flagship hypercar, the F80. Using the latest technologies from their motorsport division, the F80 is powered by the same engine used in its F1 and WEC cars: a twin-turbocharged V6 paired to a 800V hybrid system.
This engine delivers almost 1200 hp, allowing for a very quick sprint from 0-62 mph in just 2.1 seconds and a 0-124 time of 5.75 seconds. This number also makes it the most powerful Ferrari ever made. And as you rocket toward those speeds, a full array of aerodynamic elements come into play, working with the active suspension to generate 2,200 lbs of downforce at 155 mph.
While the F80 has two seats, the company created an architecture called “1+,” keeping the width to a minimum for aerodynamic benefits while also making for a driving experience that feels like you’re in a single-seat race car.
The Ferrari F80 will be produced in a limited run of 799 examples.
