Aquastar revisits the Benthos once again with the new Benthos Heritage II. This version of the watch sizes down to 40mm from the 42mm seen in the previous and releases. Crafted out of 904L corrosion-resistant stainless steel, the case is fitted with a unidirectional ceramic bezel that features applied luminous markers and has a thickness (case+bezel) of 11.9mm.
It also features a crown at 2 o’clock and a helium escape valve at 4 o’clock and a semi-gloss black dial with high-density SuperLuminova-coated hour markers. Additional features include a Sellita SW200-1, an automatic with a 38-hour power reserve, a water-resistance rating of 300M/1000ft, and an ISOfrane Tropic Rubber strap. You can also configure the watch with an optional stainless steel beads-of-rice bracelet.
The Benthos H2 is limited to 500 pieces and is now available for pre-order. Deliveries are set for this May.
