The popularity of bully breeds may in part be due to their temperament. They are among the top percentile of best-tempered dogs, according to their scores on the ATTS Temperament Test. The American Bully scored 100% on this test, and the Bull Terrier and Dogo Argentino both scored 90.9%. These are impressive scores, and it’s no wonder that Americans often choose bully breeds.
Not only are bully breeds the most popular breed in nearly half of the states, but the French Bulldog is the most popular dog breed in the United States, based on the number of registrations at the American Kennel Club. Other bully breeds also rank high, such as the Bulldog, Rottweiler, and Doberman Pinscher.
