Another glorious technological achievement of mankind is here ladies and gentleman! If you have ever wanted to breath underwater without wearing a scuba suit, then have no fear, for your gadget is finally here. The Triton Oxygen Mask For Diving is exactly what it sounds like; it condenses and processes oxygen out of the water around you, storing it all in capacitors so you don’t run out. It uses a battery to power itself, so the only thing keeping you from coming up is the battery. Very little information is known about the Triton currently, especially if you’re looking to buy one, but we’ll give you all the information we have.
As far as respirators go, the Triton would be the go to for just about anyone. It’s the perfect size, and doesn’t require any skills to operate, like the skill of breathing in and out while biting down on a mouthpiece with conventional respirators. The Triton uses new technology that is likened to an artificial gill, allowing one to breath underwater without secondary gas tanks. To allow this, the Triton extracts oxygen underwater through a filter that is made of holes smaller than water molecules. A micro compressor is the magic behind it all, pulling off oxygen atoms from the water molecules. The battery is also state of the art, 30 times smaller than current battery sizes with a charge time that is 1,000 times faster.
Triton Oxygen Mask For Diving was created and designed by Jeabyun Yeon, an avid fan of diving. He says he always used to want to swim underwater for extended periods of time without having to come up for air, and without having to wear any gear doing it. After years of research and work, the Triton was created. Currently there are no details to the cost or when production will start. The problem is the micro parts that were created by hand. They are not in production currently, and an assembly line would have to be created specifically for the micro parts.
The science seems to be a bit shoddy on this one though, so don’t get too worked up about when this product is going to drop. Our science seems to be still catching up. One of the main problems with this is that humans don’t breath only oxygen. Air is made up of more than just oxygen. If you want to see some math, head over to
