After recent luxury residency projects – the Maçka Residences in Istanbul, and the high-rising World Towers in Mumbai – interior design studio Armani Casa is all set to enter a brand new market as it plans its first luxury residential project in China

Giorgio Armani has partnered with well-known Chinese cultural body Mind Group for the development of this project. L’Art Residence will be built in the centre of the city of Chengdu and will be made up of two 222-meter-high buildings, each with 65 apartments.

The luxury apartments will be furnished with bespoke, elegant pieces from the Armani Casa, Armani Rocca and Armani Dada collections, and residents will also have access to a heated rooftop swimming pool that will be made for each apartment block.

“China is a fascinating country which continues to overflow with dynamic energy and future promise,” says Giorgio Armani.

“I’m delighted to be creating luxury residences in Chengdu, providing a remarkable living space infused with a modern elegance to this vibrant 21st century town which nevertheless has deep roots which run through the country’s past.”

The luxury apartments will be up for grabs in the second half 2014, and the development should commence by 2016.
