Pub Grub with Two Michelin Stars – Marlow,UK

Vagablond –

This is unheard of for a pub to have one Michelin start, let alone two. If you are looking for a Sommelier to be hovering around you’ll be disappointed. You will have to cross the pond and head to the picturesque town of Marlow, to the Hand and Flower pub.

I first came across this restaurant on one of the final episodes of Masterchef Professionals. The back of house is like most two star restaurants, but the front of house as the cozy pub feel. Tom and Beth Kerridge are the Owners, and Tom is the mastermind behind the menu. Tom was previously head chef at Adlards in Norwich (one Michelin star), and senior sous chef at Monsieur Max in Hampton (which also had one Michelin star). Before then, Tom cooked at London restaurants including Odettes, Rhodes in the Square, Stephen Bull and The Capital.

You will find the dishes are elegant, yet familiar enough that you will not be scared to give it a try. I hope to convince Tom to answer our 7 questions one of these days. For now take a pass at their website and the exquisite offerings of their menui.
