If you ask us, the 2024 Lincoln Nautilus is much more than a redesign of the midsize SUV, it presents a showcase of where the brand is going with a design philosophy that is centered around technology and luxury and how they work together in a seamless way. The fully redesigned exterior is sharper and more chiseled than the model it replaces with a new signature grille that’s flanked by LED headlamps that features a light bar animation that links the two headlamps together when unlocked.

Under the hood are two powertrain options: a 2.0L turbocharged four-cylinder that produces 250 hp and 280 lb-ft of torque or a turbocharged 2.0L hybrid four-cylinder that bumps things up to 300 hp and 295 lb-ft of torque. The non-hybrid is coupled to a eight-speed automatic while the hybrid features a CVT with a 100kW electric motor and the latter is what you’ll want if you want to maximize fuel efficiency.

The front light bar will become a new lighting signature for the Lincoln lineup.

From our time behind the wheel, performance was exactly what you would expect: smooth, refined, and comfortable. With the optional adaptive suspension, you get the definitive Lincoln experience and that’s further enhanced by features like BlueCruise, which we’ll get to later. With the hybrid, you get 30 mpg combined and  the large 20 gallon fuel tank is good for about 500+ miles, making it ideal for road trips across state or country.

The 48″ Panoramic Display is the first of its kind in its segment.

The real star of the show is the massive 48″ panoramic display, bringing an edge-to-edge, high-resolution screen that combines the dashboard and a customizable infotainment experience. The centerpiece of its “Lincoln Digital Experience,” the panoramic display might seem distracting at first glance but it immediately felt natural after some time on the road.

Alongside the usual CarPlay and Android Auto integration, you also have access to Google Assistant or Alexa, which lets you easily adjust the A/C, start the NAV, control your music, and make calls. At the heart of it all is Google built-in, enabling features like native Google Maps and compatibility with all your favorite apps, which are accessible with or without your smartphone connected.

The new ambient lighting system features seven different color settings.

And the tech features don’t end there, you can also treat the Nautilus as a mobile office and we’re not just talking about connecting your laptop to the integrated 5G connection. You’ll be able to connect to video conferencing apps over audio and when you’re parked, you’ll be able to see the incoming video feed from your meeting.

Lincoln is also emphasizing scent and sound with two new options: Lincoln Digital Scent and Revel’s 28 (or 14) speaker sound system. Digital Scent is available with four fragrance options: Cloud Balsam, Serene Seashore, Twighlight Embers, and Sunlight Retreat. On the audio side, Revel’s audiophile-grade offers two sound system options with a 28-speaker Ultima 3D system that also packs a 24-channel amplifier for an immersive listening experience for every passenger in the vehicle.

BlueCruise’s hands-free driving experience now works on most major highways across the country.

If you want to sit back and enjoy the scented interior with a little bit of music from the Revel sound system, BlueCruise can be activated on compatible roads to give you a hands-free driving experience that now has features like automatic lane-changing and in-lane repositioning. Couple that with options like the 24-way Perfect Position massage seats and you’ll never think twice about diving headfirst into rush hour traffic again.

The 2024 Lincoln Nautilus is now available.
