Audi is presenting the Audi Sport Quattro Laserlight concept car at the Consumer Electronics Show from January 6 to 10, 2014 in Las Vegas. The Audi Sport Quattro Laserlight is a plug in hybrid, which according to Audi has a combined fuel consumption of just 2.5 liters of fuel per 100km, or a 94.09 US MPG. It comes with a four liter V8 biturbo engine which produces 560HP, it also has a 0 to 60 MPH time of just 3.7 seconds. The concept has been designed to show off Audi’s laser headlight technology which is expected to become more and more prevalent in luxury and sports cars over the coming years. The Laserlight concept combines matrix LED lights with laser light in each dual-element unit. The outer trapezoidal element uses matrix LEDs and an aperture mask as part of the car’s low beam setup, while the inner units are used for the high beam function.
