Rare Delights Magazine –
I say this a lot, but now it’s the truth. The future is here people! Now instead of taking selfies with your phone, you can have your own personal drone follow you around filming you! It’s like your very own film crew for your life. This is going to have an interesting impact on society, social media, the way we view life. Just the way our phones made picture taking more accessible, gadgets like Lily will make filming our lives much more accessible. Where the GoPro gives you a first person perspective, Lily will give people a new way to see their lives from a third person perspective, something that many of us have yet to experience.
We’ve all seen videos of ourselves, taken from someone else, but very few of us have seen videos of ourselves taken from the perspective of something that isn’t a human. Considering that Lily flies, the camera angle that Lily provides will be something that few people have seen. The possibilities are endless. Lily could be retrofitted for many different activities, including police support, and ranging to keeping an eye on a child in a busy amusement park. Since Lily is so capable, it will certainly prove to be useful to those who are creative enough to see all of the possibilities.
This small circular device is the remote, but not what you think. Lily isn’t operated manually. It flies and tracks the operator all by itself. All you have to do is keep this device on your person, and it will continue to follow you for up to 20 minutes. The device can be protected from water in this armband which is all included with Lily, so that you can take her on some rapids. Since Lily is insulated, she is also water resistant. If she falls in the water, she will float to the top and her propellers will help her climb out of the water.
Lily is waterproof, lightweight, compact, and awesome, and only costs around $700 to pre-order. If you do so today, it should arrive sometime midway through next year, 2016.
Check out this video. It will help you understand why this is the next big thing.
