VW reveals the GTX versions of the ID.3 and ID.7 Tourer

Volkswagen previews its latest performance-focused hatchbacks with the reveal of the ID.3 GTX and the ID.7 GTX Tourer. The sporty EVs have a bolder look than their standard counterparts with details like black trim elements and 20″ “Skagen” alloy wheels. Described as the electric counterpart to the gas-powered Golf GTI Clubsport, the ID.3 GTX will have a “Performance” model as the top trim with features like a GTX-specific front bumper with black, diamond-patterned air intakes, a new set of daytime running lights, and high-gloss black trim throughout. The car also has the 20″ Skagen wheels standard, premium sport seats with red stitching, and DCC adaptive chassis control.

The ID.7 GTX Tourer takes the family wagon and adds features like a new bumper with a honeycomb grille, GTX-specific light graphics, and black accents with a high-gloss finish like the ID.3. That gloss treatment is also found on the side sills and lower area of the rear bumper. Other additions include 20″ Skagen alloy wheel, perforated GTX lettering on the backrests, red piping details on the seats, and a GTX-specific multifunction steering wheel.

Unfortunately, both models won’t be available in the US.
